Talking Back in Bidness!

Hi All FE motor fans,

I'm back in saddle with my new rig! I sold my 66 F250 back in June and have had the shakes since. Check out my pictures in my gallery.

My "new" rig is an unmolested 69 F250 Camper Special, 2wd Ranger with the 360 and NP435. It runs great and just needs paint and brakes. Hope to have it on the road soon!

I've learned tons about these great old trucks and motors here and will be posting lots of questions and hopefully some answers here soon.

Keep 'em rolling!

Good for you! How many miles? Are ya gonna stay with the 360 and have some custom pistons and/or rods made for it?

Annihilator,

Thanks. I got it from the guy who bought it new. I has 119k. It starts great and runs better! When it's good and hot, it will make a slight amount of blue smoke on the drivers side (true dual exhaust). The intake manifold gasket leaks right by the dizzy, so that whole gasket may be shot.

My short-term plan is to get the brakes up to snuff and check/replace any gaskets/seals that I can get to. They seem to have suffered the most from the storage.

The longer term plan is to run it the way it is while I save up money for a quality rebuild (Blue Oval Performance is in Denver- FE Guys) and go with a truck build 410.

Hope to see you on the road! Glad to be back! Spudco
