My block hugger headers won't work!!!!!

Well, I got the engine in the '53 this weekend and I've run into a problem. My steering shaft on my power rack runs directly through the center of my header collector. I thought that by buying block hugger headers I would have eliminated this problem but it appears to be worse.

I'm running a 302 with a TCI IFS kit and a power T-bird rack. Has any one ever run into the same problem with a similar set up?

Does anyone have the ability to affect the space/time continuum? It would be really helpful right now.

Thanks Much - Brad

I can't help you on the header problem, but with the space/time continuum thing, I worked that out last week and it's really kind of elementary...but my senior moments are coming in clusters, like grapes, now and I may not be able to remember how to ......What was I talking about?

My headers were a real problem also. I have a 69' LTD frame clip that came with a rear location for the steering gear. After much research and trial and fit, I came up with 92 T-Bird 5.0L headers that are a little restrictive over block huggers, but they fit my available space. There are pictures of the LH and RH header somewhere in my gallery shots. They might be in the "parts" section of the gallery. Good luck. I bought $35 junk yard headers for a trial and they worked so good, I put new studs in them and had them ceramic coated.

I didn't get off so cheap. I tried Flowtech and Patriot huggers but finally has to go with Sanderson's to fit it all in. My engine is a 351W and I went with their FF4's.

Keeping in mind that I paid $20 for my brand new Flowtech block hugger headers off ebay, I'm going to do everything in my power to make them work. Those Sanderson's aren't cheap but I may not have a choice.

Thanks for the help - Brad
