If California is so dogon great, then how come so many of you are moving up Washington, Oregon and Montana??!!
Heck, if you don't use the windshield wipers, then how often do you use four wheel drive? When's the last time you actually got stuck? Some of us in the great northwest actually figure that's part of the fun. We'n back woods folk actually use our trucks to haul a load of firewood after we've winched, (note the correct spelling of winch), out our fell Fir trees that we'n done cut down with our own chain saws! Windshield wipers is a neccessity! And that goo they spray on the roads so we don't slip our butt's sideways in the frosty mornin on the way to work gits tossed up on the wind screen like slimy playdough. (We don't use salt up here, it's wet enough -we'd like our rigs to last more than a couple years.) Worsher fluid is like liquid gold. Knowin when it's gone is like bein a goll darn clarevoient to our passengers. We be smart if'n we have lectronics to give'n us information.
And how can I find the right dogon map if'n there's no light in the glove box?!
RainX??? Comes off in the first frost. And if anyone thinks that stuff can keep up with real rain, ya'll got another thing comin!

There ya go!! I go through about a tank every other week. I do have to say I have come to like the rainx deicer washer fluid. The Mag sulphide they spray here is like oil on the windows and like yesterday, you can't go a mile without washing the window. As for CA being that great, as a way former resident I would love to be able to afford to go back to the "only real" California (Northern) where the woods are great. I still think they need to split that state in half, right past Monterey.
And by the way guys, I'm kidding a bit about the CA stuff.
If it weren't for the weather right here along the coast, I'd be happy to move to any number of other places in the country - if not for the house prices alone.
I grew up in Nebraska, lived for 3 years in GA, 15 in Northern VA, and now 10 in CA. So I've had my share of cold and snow and heat and humidity, and rain.
The Peoples Republic of California has it's share of flaws so don't take it the wrong way if I tease a bit about the weather - there are plenty of things to tease back about
Wait I am a native southern Calif boy...born in Whittier.....so if we could split it just south of there….I am in too.
I am so hosed they will never go for that
Back to the topic, for a minute. Just because there is a light when you first turn on the key doesn't mean there is a sensor hooked to it. That is the great thing about mass production. And yes my early 04 came with a glove box light and hood insulation. And Tim you can have the snow that came up here today.
So, is the glove box light standard? Did they miss my truck? Is there really a sensor for the low level winder worsher fluid? I don't see an IDIOT light for that on my dash. (Must mean I'm not an idiot. Ha!)
