Good luck with your problems. Enjoy FTE
Not an expert on this one, but I think that could be a symptom of a bad low/reverse servo seal/o-ring, which does have a history of failure. If it is this o-ring, it's pretty easy to get to -- 4 bolts and a gasket beyond replacing the trans filter, which you said you've already done, so I don't think you'd have any trouble with this. Hopefully someone with a little more experience with this particular problem can step forward to help us know if this is your problem.
really interested in the answer to this one also. mine is doing the same thing. symptoms are: driving along and go to pass someone after slowing down a bit, the transmission feels like it slips into neutral. let up on the gas and push again and it my run all right. stopped at an intersection yesterday and went to take off and nothing. no reverse no forward. revved engine to 3500-4000 and vehicle started to creep fwd. was able to get it to about 15 mph. limping home, I then stopped at another intersection and when I took off again it started out the same way(high revs) then seemed to catch and ran all right the rest of the way home. any ideas?
update to transmission woes. was just told by aamco that the transmission is toast. can't salvage anything can forget rebuilding it. they will install a re-manufactured one for $2386 merry christmas and happy new year
I wouldn't expect AAmco to say anything different. Not a slam on them, because they don't want any comebacks. I suggest waiting for additional replies here, and trying something much cheaper.
