i actually put down some rhino liner than i put in blackcarpet over it. it insulates it, holds heat better. and doesnt let anything in when it gets wet. just my 2 cents
I just sprayed my floor with liner, and now I think I'm going to grab a carpet kit of some sort or floor mat to go over it. The old mat had a sound deadner underneath it before, and it sure made a difference. Also, now every single piece of dirt or dried wet salt/silt/sand stuff from our great winters stands out like a sore thumb. Think now that the base is protected, I'm going to grab something I can take in and out every once in awhile, to make it look better again, and to warm it up as well as quiet it down.
Yeah, that's the only problem with the spray in liner. You don't have a sounds deadener. It works nice for a work truck or something but otherwise the carpet is better but it does hold water/salt/moisture in.
