Hi there....I hope Santa comes thru for ya....a windshield for these new run in the neighborhood of 2-250 from what I have heard, cheaper if you get lucky and find a good one in a wrecking yard...In all my years I have yet to find a good 61-6 type windshield. The gasket runs about 45-50 also which is easily obtainable. Welcome to the group....My supposedly 1st truck was supposed to be my 65 3/4 ton(which I got eventually)...My Dad doesnt recall promising it to me for my 1st vehicle...still denies it years later...Its a good truck and you can have alot of fun fixing things and such...just dont keep pedal to the floor....its very thirsty usually....if you need anything more....you found the best possible place to get answers or leads to how and so on.....

I got my windshield from diamond glass for 180 installed with my seal. Make sure you dont buy a cheap seal. You get what you pay for. I bought two so i have seen the differance. One went in the trash!
Hi, Hope you get the '65. I just bought a new windshield rubber from www.bobdrake.com. It was $40 plus a few bucks for shipping and got very fast service. There is someone on www.ebaymotors.com who pretty regularly has a windshield offered for $115 ( Buy It Now price ) that will fit your truck. The shipping is a little high, I think. I had one replaced less that 6 months ago at a local shop and they provided the glass and the labor to install it for $212. Check your local shops and be prepared for the prices to run the gammut. I have a '65 parts truck that I just aquired and it has a factory tinted windshield available with a couple of small chips in case it doesn't have to be perfect. In fact, all of the windows on this truck are tinted. I have been told that this is not particularly rare but it is the first one I have seen. Good luck, Lazy
Welcome to the group and enjoy your soon to arrive truck. I've worked with a really excellent glass supplier named Vic, classicglass@semo.net . He has always come through with an excellent price for me on new glass and he tries to find ways to keep shipping costs down for his customers. Be sure to give him a try before buying anywhere.
Of course a salvage yard glass would be cheaper than new. If you were here in Texas, I'd take you over to a friend's ranch. He must have half a dozen that would fit your truck. So look local to for yourself.
