Well i fixed my carb and i fixed my transfercase. School let out for the winter so i started fixing up my truck. Well i got back from a little test drive and i looked under the hood to check for leaks and guess what? Coolant is driping off the radiator GREAT. Whats next. The good news is i get a free 80000 mile 302HO and AOD trans out of my friends Lincoln DemoDerby Car That he never finished. I was wondering being the stingy teenager i am would the 302 radiator fit inplace of my 300's?
Ok i'm gettin that fixed today and i will have it back by tommorrow morning
I replaced the thermostat and guess what it was the ORIGINAL thermo
Was i correct in putting the part with the spring towards the head?
It's common on newer vehicles too, it's just something that happens like water pump failure or anything else like that. I probably wouldn't worry about it happening again. They should know how to fix it. Dunno about the fan shroud, mine didn't come with one. Probably better than nothing though. I pour coolant in until the radiator is full, then squeeze the upper radiator hose several times slowly and it will push water into the head, just keep doing that until it's full. And with the thermostat, yes you put it in right.
