question about fuel pumps?

It just depends on what you are doing. For a stock or mild engine, a mechanical pump works fine. You can even get high performance ones from Edelbrock or Holley for built engines) Electric pumps are ok, but require mounting near the tank below the fuel level because they are gravity fed. They can deliver more fuel than a mechanical pump for high demand situations. The electric ones can ne more costly and harder to mount.
