Code reader question
Is there an inexpensive code reader that will work for the 99 F150 4.6L auto?

Any OBD2 (On Board Diagnostics generation 2) code reader should work. Most vehicles after 1995 are OBD2.
If your check engine light is on and you want to get it scanned some parts stores like Autozone will do that for you for free.

Thanks OBDII another question is there one for a 1992
I also need one for a 92 sable. Would this same OBDII work on this or is there another?

ODBII will not work on your Sable, there is a code scanner for older Fords and it sells for about $30.00
