it'll be one of the best investments you make! read up on previous posts (scroll down the page and over to previous pages) for references on winches and winch systems and how to maintain them.
one thing i have read somewhere is that the XD9000i had a problem with the winch being too strong. meaning that when a testing company was testing the winch out they found the winch cable (brand new and broke in) would break/snap long before the winch locked up. in all other winches the motor inside is suppsed to stall before the cable broke for safety reasons. this is very bad. it may have been corrected by now but i just wanted to give you a heads up on that...make sure you are very careful when winching!
other than that VERY strong winch and can't hardly be beat.
