Heck, I gave up on second guessing what people said was under their hood a long time ago. My friggin '77 F150 4X4 has a 351W & C6 and from the looks of it you'd never know it wasn't stock. Only sign that's obvious is it's missing the fan shroud. I keep expecting to pop the hood on a '77-'79 one day and find a Power Stroke in the engine bay!
got a carb kit for my 2bbl motorcraft 79 m block and it was only 20 bucks from napa. the carbs should basicaly be the same, so, id say around the 20 bucks.
