Translation: Why is my oil pressure gauge not working? Do you think it's engine related or just a blown fuse or something?
I dunno, I'd have to look for myself. That happened to me a while ago in my Chebby. I changed the oil to Valvoline 10-30 with a new filter, and vuala! Pressue was fixed!
Also, noticing that you just changed the oil. I'd check to see if there are any oil leaks around any seals or the filter itself. If you just changed it, it could be related to the change.
Mine does that too..especially in the winter. My truck has yet to blow up. I think there was a discussion about this some time ago. Its a dummy guage with a flaw.
when i was younger (and dumber) i only worried about how fast i was going and if i had enough gas. When i was driving my 1991 honda accord, which are notorious for speed sensor malfunctions, my speed sensor went out. So i only looked at the gas, tach (i memorized speeds), and temp. I had a hole in my radiator, and had to stop frequently for cool-downs and water. I was a broke kid.
so anyhow, i've never really paid attention to the oil gauge. a lot of cars don't even have them.
