I had a coded pulled in June and recently of PO402, both the stealership and inspection shop were certain it was the DPFE sensor. I just replaced it. How long does it take for the computer to reset itself and the check engine light to stay off permanantly if it was the correct fix? The light had already been intermittant. And I disconnected the battery ground during the repair.
Thanks in advance!
Now I'm confused, Is the part faulty, or is the code more complex than just a sensor failure. The truck runs like a top, no issues. Light on for 6 months before sensor switched, and still no problems. Any Ideas? Thanks, by the way..
Possible Causes:
l EGR valve stuck open
l Plugged EGR Vacuum Regulator solenoid (EVR) vent
l Plugged EGR tube
l Slow responding DPFE sensor
l Damaged DPFE sensor
l Improper vacuum hose connection
l Plugged vacuum hoses
l EVR circuit shorted to ground
l Damaged EVR
l Damaged PCM
