Anyone remember a monster-truck Aerostar van around '94-97 year? I remember seeing a cool Aerostar van, with the giant 4X4 suspension and wheels and tires similar to the "Big Foot" Ford trucks back then. There was a red Dodge 4X4 called "Bear Foot" which was a rival to the Ford, "Big Foot" truck. Anyone else remember this 4X4 Monster Aerostar? Maybe some of you in the midwest, south, and northeast might recall this van. Also, I'm sure the engine used in the 4x4 Aerostar pulling the sled in the clay / dirt was NOT a 3.0 or 4.0 V6! Probably a full race 460 CI Motorcraft Ford race V8. The side by side racing through and obstacle course, or the jumping of junk cars lined up were okay. However, the monster trucks, set up for pulling the sled were something else. the power in those motors as the weight was pulleyed forward, to put the maximum weight on the tail of the pull-truck was cool. The Aerostar 4X4 was a stud Ford, with the exhaust headers routed straight up and out the hood. the driver sat about in the middle of the van, where the middle row of seats were, if I remember correctly... This is what the 4X4 Aerostar monster pull-van did to the Chevy and GMC competition :>
I remeber one. Not sure if its the your thinking about or not. It was called the boogy van and was drivin by a girl(no pun intended!) She raced with the big boys, bigfoot etc. I think that was the toughest aerostat van i've seen!!
the bigfoot shuttle, and the boogey van are great trucks, ive been jealous of them for a long time. but do you remember bigfoot fastrax? it was an aerostar on tank tracks. it beat every montser truck it ever raced! so they banned tanks from competition! there were a few other tank trucks out there, but they all looked dorky compared to bigfoot fastrax
There are lots of Bigfoot Fastrax pictures floating around on the net if you do a search for them.
Wouldn't one of those be fun in a Wal-Mart parking lot on a Saturday afternoon?
Yes i remember fastracks now that you mention it.Didn't the blowers stick through the roof? It was cool but you can't beat a big set of fatties in my oppinion!!!!!
