Well, good luck, and stay out of overdrive!

So far I keep hearing good things about towing with this truck, so try and have fun with it and keep us posted.

Smile No Worries

Hey, like the man said, i maid it from San Diego county, to knox county Ill, with the bed full, and 6500# on the hitch. Yes, i was told that "i was crazy, and good luck on that trip buddy ", but you know what? the trip was 2100 miles, and i made it in just under 50 hours... The mountions were fun, i say fun because you have to be smart with your shifting, i only got into 2nd gear one time, and that was to go around a big rig, because he was going way slow, and if i didnt pass, i may not of made it up that hill....i was in 4th most of the trip, butonce i got to illinois, i was i 5th....its just so flat there i wasnt worried........although, i must say, reverse is not a good thing, i killed the truck twice backing my truck and trailer into my car port.

drive safe..

I think that you will be OK alot of that trip is made in flat ground. Just go easy and the F-150 will treat you right.

Hey guys just got my internet and cable hooked up (tech is just left). As for the trip, once I was above 60, then I used overdrive with no problems. And I have some Air-Lift air bags on the rear suspension to help out with the large load I was bringing.
