frame horns question

frame horns question
Can someone give me a measurement on how long my frame horns should be ? i removed them some years ago and since i finally got around to stripping my 54 down to the frame i would like to put them back on.

I assume you're talking about the frame where the front bumper attaches. It just so happens I have my whole front off and could get a decent measurement. This is the stock measurement; I'm thinking of moving mine in about 2"

Thanks, 56 that's exactly what i was looking for, we are thinking on the same lines i am also going to make mine shorter, i read in custom trucks were someone cut theres back 1 1/2" and it looked pretty darn good. thanks again for the much needed info.
