Tranny Swap

Well, it all started when the A4LD went out again, and I was tired of messin with it, so I found a guy up in Nebraska that told me he would sell me his C4/D20 out of his Bronco for $150 so I said... "SURE!!"

Here's the best part, the C4 has a B&M MegaShifter on it and the D20 already has a Twin stick conversion on it, so I'm set!! I'm gonna rebuild the tranny with a RaceMasters rebuild kit, and I'm gonna throw in a shift kit too! HOPEFULLY, if I can get everything here in time, I'm gonna try and have it in by X-mas. Wish me luck

If anybody can get their hands on a C5 Bell housing, Torque Convertor and Flex Plate for me, I really need all three of these parts to get the C4 to bolt up to the 4.slo

Ohhhh, that's a tough one but I'll do some checking and see what I can find, no promises though lol.

If ya cant find them quick enuff, you might just try U-Wrench-It fi you know what they are on!! They cheap enuff you can get them for almost a steal!! Just an idea!!

update.... Jack is sending/selling me a C5 Bellhousing, now all I need it the Torque convertor and the flexplate for a C5... but I can get those for CHEAP from o"reilly

Use a new torque converter. Usually the used ones have a bunch of crud in them that won't clear out until you run them.

UPDATE:: I drove to Rockport, MO yesterday to pick up the tranny/t-case.... and the bellhousing got sent out today from Jack, I also ordered the rebuild kit and a B&M Tranpak Shift Kit today..... hopefully I can get some money to get it rebuilt here soon so I can get it in.... and oh yeah, I've got a lot of research to do to find out how to hook up the Twin sticks, and run the lines for the shifter, and I needa figure out a way to get my speedo to work after the install.
