Waxing

Hey all,

I'm interested in trying to wax a vehicle for the first time, other then test patches, I've never really done it before, so I have a couple questions like:

Do I need terry clothes or will regular dishrags be adequate?
Any favorite brands of wax, or any to avoid?

Thanks,
Alvie.

My advice would be to use either a wet small rag (like an old wash cloth) or a foam pad for applying the wax. Reason for wetting is to keep the cloth from scratching your vehicle. For wiping off use a soft clean towwel, and make sure you flip it a lot. If your not crazy about spendin money on wax the turtle wax brand will be fine, but the best i have used that works good, lasts long, and is easy to use is meguires NXT generation wax. Think i payed like 15 for it at murrys... Make sure to always read instructions, for some your supposed to let dry and others have to be removed almost immediately. Make sure to start on a clean vehicle (wash it good first) and dont wax in sunlight. Good luck

also have a dry terry cloth towel along woth you when you are applying the wax, casue as long as you apply the wax witha damp cloth or sponge the wax will come off that textured plastic easy. microfiber towels are also great for removing the wax and drying the vehicle after a wash.
