Question Rain-X Wax

I use the regular Rain-X on all my windows, and it works great. But I've been curious about the wax. Does it actually do anything more then any other wax? They say it's supposed to reduce dust and dirt build up: is that true? How well does it shed water? Any opinions, experiances, or other highly recommended waxes are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wax reduces friction. That is why Rain-X works as it does on your windshield and the reason water beads on the hood of your vehicle after you wax it. Folks that own small single engine aircraft wax their planes to get extra speed, so that they will slip through the air better.

Bold Tigers

We don't wax these and they seem to slip through the air rather quickly.

One bad Eagle! I never waxed my pattern plane either, didn't seem to matter. My neighbor uses the spray on wax on his car, looks nice, I think that is the brand he mentioned.
