91 runing problems

My truck is a 91 f150 4x4, I just bought it a while ago. When i drove it home from its previous owners, it ran like a champ. Then I went and tried the 4x4 in some mud, work really well! I went home and cleaned it, including powerwashing my motor. Now when i start it it runs good intill i feather the gas then it seems like it is going to die intill it revs up. I fixed it for a bit by spraying wd-40 on the electrical conections under the hood.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

If it ran normal when you sprayed wd-40 under the hood, I would suspect a vacuum leak.

You need to go through all of the electrical connections and dry them out. It's not a good idea to pressure wash the engine with all the electronics on these newer engines. The connectors are sealed against water, but the high pressure forces the water by the seals and causes problems.
