That's too broad a comment.

Topics include:
Engine,Gears,Fuel Delivery,Performance parts, Exhaust,systems just to name a few.

Can you be more specific ?

What are considering.

one time i put new lug nuts on my pickup gained 2 seconds in the 1/4 mile, i think they were titanium or something so they were light weight.

my new wheels gave me like 75 extra horsepower.... , a new paint job and lots of wax increase gas mileage and top speed........always change out your blinker fluid before storing your vehicle for the winter.....

You already took care of the 351Ms biggest set backs cam, intake, carb. Next I would get some headers, true dual exhaust, and a good performance ignition. If you really want to dust him get some head work done and swap in some taller gears if your going for acceleration like some 4.10s.

I had a 351m in a 78 SC shortbox 4x4. I installed out of a used up old bronco, had a double valve springs and a 3 angle valve grind, but only a Ford 2barrel. It turned on like a big block and never ran out of RPMs . It did use about the same amount of fuel but I never had a "M" that revved so high without float. My truck weighed in around 6500lbs and still moved great. Maybe an old toploader 4spd or a ZF 5spd would work for your kind of abuse, an auto would be a waste if you've already got the pedals!!!!
If I didn't emphasize the double springs before, please listen now.
ENJOY THE TOY!!!!!!!!

Well, I was looking for some power to out of my 351M. First thing first was a new intake, went to Edelbrock, then went and boguht an MSD ignition, but the best thing you can do with a 351M is take it to a machine shop get it bored and stroked and of course lower gears make a world of difference. You'll waste anyone off the line with lower gears but your top end speed while go down.

Okay, I'll move this thread to the 335 engine series forum as this is more engine than Truck related.

Change the crank and pistons and make it a 400 with 9.0:1 CR or greater.
