I dont see why it wouldn't. Oil level is oil level, the important thing is that it's below the crankshaft throws and counterweights.
I dont know if the FT pans have a hole in 'em for a dipstick tube or not. If they do you'll have to block it off.

The FT pan has its own opening for a dipstick. I just stuffed a bolt wit hsome Black RTV on it in the hole, then used the standard block mounted dipstick.
