Late 50's 223 engines

Would these engines have hydraulic lifters and would they require hardened valve seats to run unleaded gas?

no they are solid lifters.you dont need hard seats unless you plan on doing a lot of driving.high miles that is.or really working the truck.

223 vale adjusment spec's?

Can anyone give me the valve adjusment procedure and spec' for a 63 223?
