Fenders, in looking at your dash panel you said you needed the 2 rockers, the alpine should have said 2 wires on the back of the unit....blue and blue with white stripe. one will always have power when the unit is on..run to amps and other will power up when radio is on. Not sure on which one is which...been a few years since working the car audio business

FatFenders: Take a look at FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) at Home Depot. It is sold in sheets, I have used the stuff a lot on lower sections of walls. It might be a little thin but it could be glued to a thin fiberboard backing. Its cheap, it might, or might not work, I just thought I would throw that out there.
