Just had the Trip Computer go on my 02 F250...took it to dealer and they said they had not seen this happen. Not related to a fuse...anyone else had a similar experience ?
I have the same problem and are trying to figure out where to start looking. None of the manuals cover this and none of the fuses or relays identify as powering the computer. Let me know if you find out anything.

Dealer has determined comp[uter is fried...and needs to be replaced...I'm going to try and source one through a Salvage yard and Plug it in...it will need to be recalibrated and your manual does provide instructions on how to do this...if I find a source for salvaged computers I will post it...My dealer wants close to $ 400 for replacing the fried one
Hi Picard...as a new user I can not email you directly...feel free to ctc me at tspear@overallservices.com....any help you can provide will be very much appreciated.
Picard: I would be very interested in any information you could provide on this subject. My display was working fine until the truck went through Hurricane Isabel last year. There was no obvious damage to the truck with the exception of some very minor chips in the paint from flying debris. It was facing directly into 100+ mph winds for several hours. - I mention that because someone told me the sensors are in the grill. I have not been able to locate anything related to the computer in the grill or anywhere else for that matter. - Anyway, as soon as the winds let up a bit we went to my parents house to cut open their road and I noticed the display was not working.
Believe it or not I am just now getting around to try and figure this thing out. No one around here has any idea or seems interested. So any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Donnie
