boring out a 460

i was wondering how far i could SAFELY bore out a 460, i wanna maybe get 502 out of it if possible, i just want more power!

To get more cubic inches you want to stroke it. Boring it out for more is not the way to go. The reason to bore the cylinders is to clean them up and get the cylinder walls straight. You can go .030 or .060 over depending on if its been orginal or been rebuilt before. Anything over .060 might have to have the block sonic checked for cylinder wall thinkness. Get a stroker crankshaft, rod and piston combo for more cubic inches.
