I have a 2001 Ranger supercab 2-door. The jump-seats in the back are a total waste of space. They seem easy enough to remove, but is there anything out there that can installed in their place? It would be nice if there were storage bins or the like that would be functional and have a finished look.
Back seats a waste of space......better not tell my 7 year old granddaughter that....hehehe. Also had one of my buddies ride back there when we hauled our bikes behind, he said it was not too bad after being back there for about a 60 mile trip. I have a 98 Ranger XLT 4 door, the extra doors do seem to make the space behind the seats more user friendly for putting stuff like our helmets and leathers when we head to the track and groceries when we head to the store. I really dont know about storage bins back there, seems like it would just make it that bit harder to get things in and out, but each to his own.
Now, what to put back there, seems like there are all sorts of molded plastic bins, storage units, etc. in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors at stores like Walmart, Menards (building supplies), maybe thats a good place to start looking if you havent already. As far as custom made stuff, do you know anybody thats good with wood ?? Perhaps they could build you what you want.
Good luck with the hunt, Im keeping my space back there open for the granddaughter, junk and I almost forgot......the dog.
