85 Ranger 4x4 Engine Swap
[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 10-Sep-01 AT 00:06 AM (EST)[/font][p] My dad has a 1985 Ranger 4x4 that had a 2.8 engine with a carb. The engine locked up (broke a rod, messed everything up) he found a 1985 Ranger with a 2.9 fuel injected engine that is perfect (body trashed by a ditch). What needs to be done to swap these motors out? Is it possible to get the correct wiring harnesses to swap it over. I know the 2.8 compartment hasn't got all the harnesses the 2.9 compartment has. Is there a manual available to help with the swap? Any help would be very appreciated.
