Stereo Wiring Harness
I need to find out where I can buy a wiring harness for my '95 Ranger XLT. I just bought this truck in Februrary and behind the passanger seat is, what appears to be, a factory amplifier. I took out the factory stereo, and there are 16 wires on the speaker harness. Usually there are only eight. I looked on a Ford schematic and found out that there are four wires to each speaker. The wiring harness I purchased is flat, not square, and only has eight wires. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Stereo Wiring Harness
Just take that harness back where you got it. Any audio shop, or best buy, circuit city, etc. will have the harness you need. You just need to tell them exactly what you have.

Y/BK- 12V when key or ACC is on
LB/R and/or O/BK- Illumination
BK-right rear
BK/W-right rear
PK/LG-left reat
T/Y-left rear
DG/O-right front
W/LG-right front
O/LG-Left Front
LB/W-Left front
Rectangle plug top to bottom
1. dark blue-mute
2. black w/light green stripe-radio ground
3. light blue w red stripe-panel illumination
4. yellow w/black stripe-power
5. black-vehicle ground
6. light green w/purple stripe
Square plug: 1 is top left column, 2 is top right. 3 left column row 2.
1. gray
2. purple
3. orange w black stripe
4. light green w/purple or red stripe
5. light green w/black stripe
6. black
7. white w/red stripe
8. light green
9. brown
10. white w/orange stripe
11. purple w/white stripe
12. light blue w/black stripe
13. light blue
14. yellow

16. light blue w/red stripe

Stereo Wiring Harness
Did it come with a cd changer or player. My 97 i had to run new wires to the speakers and removed the amp and changer. Otherwis I only got sound out of 1 speaker.I put in a panasonic deck with a RF 250 a2 to power 2 He2 RF 10' in a regular cab splash.
