anybody know the valve diameters of an 81 model 300 head. how about the port volumes in CC's. thanks i need this for an engine analyser program. the program says the holley 390 cfm carb is to small, is the program wrong because offy recomends this carb for the 300. what sizes headers primary tubes shoulb be used, i want acceleration and pulling power.i punched in the lunati 31401 cam for this application. anybody have any experience with it and what else would be a good cheap cam for this. thanks

 

The paw RV cam would be a good one...its $59 or so.

Don't have port cc.

The valves are 1.78/1.56

390 sounds about right, punch in a 4bbl 450 and see what happens, it should work well.
