I have a 93 ranger 2x4 with the 4.0 v6 I just put in bosch platinum +4 spark plugs and new plug wires. Now it runs like its misfiring or a one cylinder isn't sparking. What is the correct firing order. Thanks
1,4,2,5,3,6.. standing at and looking at the front of the engine the cylinders are numbered 123 on your left and 456 on your right side.
Most of the posts here about this say;
1. The bosch plugs don't work very well, use autolight doubble platium.
2. A poor quality wire, again the autolights work good.
3. Cracked an insulator on the plug when putting it in
4. use silicon on the boots, and antisize in the threads.
If the firing order is ok see if you can figure out which cyl is not firing and check for cracked plug.

Rockledge, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Dave, you are right on, it is hard for me to describe in words an engine's firing order & cylinder/coil ID sequence over the intenet, so that's why I put together that diagram.
