loud truck
my truck is 1977 f250 351m.truck is really loud mufflers are new flowmasters and tail pipes are new.the headers are rust colored but intact.could it be just need to tighten the headersto the manifolds?

Why are you asking about tightening the headers to the manifolds? Is it a loud tick like a leak or are you saying that tightening the headers will quiet the exhaust? If everything is tight then everything is normal, with flowmasters and tips it should be loud, like a real truck.

Lout tick sounds like exhaust leak for sure. Try tightening and if that don't do it, I'd examine and find where the leak is. If too much cold air sucks into the hole when you shut down, you could warp a valve if the hole is large enough. If the headers are rusted through, you might be able to have someone grind/polish and either weld or braze the hole shut.
