gear marking
Have done a couple of gear setups myself using machinists dye (prussian blue) for gear marking compound with good results so far. Is this acceptable to use???? I just kind of came up with the idea myself and went ahead and did it without checking into it.

Visibility is my only issue, the teeth that are "painted" dont really show that well untill you study them for a while-the clean teeth show a pretty good pattern for me because the blue dye gets left on them. I tried the moly grease and it didnt work at all for me. I will stick with my dye unless someone can come up with a convincing argument not to.
