I would find out what the existing problem is before changing manifolds and carbs. Like most have indicated, your truck should easily be able to run past 60 mph in stock form.
Is your motor generally healthy otherwise? Have you run a compression test?
yeah mine is healthy, just swapped heads for ones with smaller combustion chamber and rebuild them. one cylinder burns some oil, but other than that it healthy, it has edelbrock intack and 600 cfm carb and i dont know what cam is in it.
my F250 with a lil less than stock tires 3.73 rear and a 460/c-6 ill turn about 2800 at 65mph, on top of that it sounds like my old 76 hauls *** compared to toping out at 60, i can wrap my speedo out at 100 mph easy......of course my gas goes ALOT quicker
