I have a 2000 F150 4x4 base model that is stock. I have recently purchased a set of Eagle Alloy 102 Series 16x10 wheels. I currently have a set of Goodyear Radial Workhorse tires (245/75R/16) that are fairly new on the stock 16x7 wheels. Will these tires fit the new wheels I have or will I need to by new tires as well? I would like to go with a 33 but I hate the thought of having to crank the torsion bars just to fit the tire. Currently I am looking at the Super Swamper Thornbird as a replacement. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
No need to crank the torsion bars to fit 33's (285/75R16) on your rig. Check out my gallery.
My rims are 16x8 eagle alloys, and the 285's fit like a glove. Since those pictures I've cranked the torsion bars up 3/4" and removed the gay factory mud flaps.
The 16x10 rims are too wide for your 245's, a BFG tire in that size reccomends a 6.5-7.5'' rim.
The 16x10 is even 1'' too wide for a 285/75R16 (33x11.5), a 16x8 or 9 would fit better on this size.
You could also check out the "tire sticky" on the top of the 97-03 F-150 Forum, where this has been hashed over many times.

Thanks for the info. I thought they wouldn't fit but I wanted to make sure before I tried. I'll check out the sticky.
The 305's will fit a 10" rim in a pinch, but it is still not recomended, the max on that size is usually a 9.5" wide rim.
CobraR, the rims that you've got, are they like the 16x8's in my gallery? Maybe you could get them exchanged for 16x8's as the 285's are going to be cheaper than a 305, and will still get you the same height.
Wow. I had not realized that I had not replied to this post. Sorry about that. Trying to move into a new house during the holidays is no fun. No, my wheels are Eagle Alloy 102's. I will get an updated picture up soon. The wheels look better on the truck yhan I had imagined. Thanks for all of the info.
