New Guy, Old Truck
Hey everybody, just joined up, saw the message to introduce myself, thought I'd give it a shot...
My name's Peter, or Lord Yod as I'm known on most forums I read, and I just got me a 'brand new' '68 F-250, with the straightest body I've ever seen. She's got a 390, 4 speed manual, power steering, and that's it. Great starter for a project...
My grandpa bought a 68 when it was new, used it to haul things around for a few years, and then did a few conversions to it in the mid '70's. When he was done, it had a 67 Cummins 4-cyl, 2 stroke, supercharged motor(about 250cid, from what I can tell)/Clarke 5 spd granny combo. Can you believe he used this thing to carry a camper to all 49 continental States at least once?
Anyways, look for me in the FE and '68 forums, I'll be working on this project for a bit...
