C4 passing gear not functioning
I have a 1979 Ford F150 with a C4 automatic transmission mounted to a 351M engine. I just bought a rebuilt carburator from an audo parts store and had my transmission rebuilt. Now my passing gear on my transmission will not function. I tried just about every adjustment on the linkage on my carb but have not got any results. Does anyone have any ideas what can be causing my problem.

Is there a link from the carb linkage down to the tranny? Rod or cable?
Look for that jewel and see if it's being moved when you approach full throttle.
Missing? Go get it. Not moving? Adjust it. There and moving and no shift? Go back to Mr. Tranny rebuilder/installer.
