Get the instructions that Hawkins put up and follow them...it isnt to difficult...the door jab boot harness that they are refering to is above the hump for the tranny on the firewall on the inside of the truck....you can make the horn and the cab light connection on that harness too instead of the driver kick panel....I made my key switch connection on the 6 plug connector under the steering colum...the instuction I got from the tech line said not to use that spot , but I already made them there...so if you need help on that connection call the 800# on the box.....any more questions let me know...I'll help if I can. Tim

Here's a question, where is the location of the red/orange wire on the driver's side kick panel harness? Truck info: 2004 SC Lariet, 6.0L, PL, PW, PM, 4WD, AT.

rotomech, that wire is in the harness that I descibed on the firewall above the hump inside the cab....just unplug the three harnesses up there and pull the harness down to make the conection.....also there are these harness clips that hold it up out of the way....follow the harness up and pull them off the bolt that they are attached too.....Good luck !!!. Tim

Thanks TLW. I ended up running all the wires to to the driver's kick panel, except the dome light wire, and the red/orange wire. When I looked at the tranny hump, I didn't see the box you were talking about until I wripped out the driver's seat and stuck my head up into the hole to take a look closer look. It really sits up there. Thanks.

Yes you can get a FORD remote starter....unless you are good with electronics I would suggest you let a pro install it for you. Tim
