December Rebates ??

It doesn't look like the rebates have changed from last month, at least not yet. The end dates for rebates were just extended from 11/30/04 to 1/3/05 (at least according to FordVehicles.com). I'm hearing there may be changes to rebates next week though. In the past, I have usually seen the first announcement of new rebates in the form of a full-page ad in the Sunday paper (back page of the Sports section in the Washington Post, my local paper).

Ford sales were down too according to CNN. I believe around 7.0%.

Ford has the benefits off a brand new 150 and a revamped superduty. Thats helping Ford truck sales this year quite a bit. It looks like Ford is on track to beat there 2001 truck sales record off 911.000 trucks. There goal was to sell 1 million trucks. It doesnt look like theyll reach that goal but be close. GMs truck sales have been rebate driven all year. Without huge rebates there a hard sell. In my area the superduties have been hot sellers. September just about cleared out all the 2004s and 2005s have been selling the last couple off months.Even with less rebates Ford has been selling better then GM since the new models come out. Last year if I remeber right Ford put a full page ad in mid december announcing some pretty good deals. Ill think youll see that this year too. Thats just my guess. Since GMs truck sales were down 10% in November GM has to pyle on the rebaits again. Stay tuned we might be in for some surprises. Remeber its December usually a great truck sales month because off good incentives.
