Superduty DRW Brake issue (problem)
My 2003 superduty has about 46K miles on it, and I recently noticed a loud whining noise when I applied the brakes coming from the front of the truck. I took it to the local Ford dealership, and they replaced the front brake pads, and did a complete brake inspection. I get the truck back, and while the brakes feel much better, the whine is still there, but worse this time. I took it back, and had the tec. test drive it, and he herd the noise as well. He said that this was normal and was safe to drive (I.E., the noise did not effect the breaks). He said it was coming from the back breaks, and if I wanted the whining noise to completely go away, I would have to get a complete break job, costing me a lot of $$$$. Is this guy pulling my chain or what ?? This truck is just over one year old and already needs brakes ???? This thing sounds like a dump truck when I stop. What should I do ??? Maybe the front new brake pads need time to wear in ? I take it this sort of thing is not under warranty ??

Ok, replaced the front brake pads and performed inspection, then sent you on your way.
You bring it back because noise is worse, tech notices the noise, then says its NORMAL.
Then tech tells you it's really the back brakes.
Then wants to charge you more money to fix it again, when you tried to get it fixed the first time there.
I would be a tad bit upset if I were you.
On a side note, I like to inspect my own brakes before anyone touches them.
