I would like to purchase and install the daylight running lights module in my new 04 Expedition Eddie Bauer. What is the best way to go about this and where can I get a good value on the part itself?
gkim ....... if you want the lights to come on all the time yet mantain the automatic fuction ....... just cover the two light sensors on the dash ........ it just tricks it into thinking it's nightime all the time ........ try it ..... no cost.

OK Guys, Merry Christmas! Since my beginning post, I've purchased a DRL module and am now looking at getting it installed. One Ford dealer said they wouldn't touch it because it wasn't a U.S. Ford installed part. Other dealers has quoted me from $175 to $250 to install. A third party auto electric specialist said they would do it, but would need to review the instructions that came with it before I could get an estimate. Does anyone know if this is really that tough to install?
When you pull into the garage or under a bridge the lights come on right? Cover the dashboard in sections until you locate the light sensor. Mine takes about 10-20 seconds of dark for them to turn on. ---As for the dash gauges dimming , just turn the dash light dial untill they are bright enought to see. The last position for the dial is constant bright. This will adjust the stock radio display too.
