97 Expedition Question...
Can anyone shed some light on "reading the estimated gas milage" mine is constantly changing the numbers.
I reset, then when on the move the computor is letting me know what I'm currently getting. exa. 10.5 mpg slowing down shows a higher number. I would like to know how to get a overall mpg on a trip.
I don't have a book and the Ford company wants to drain my account for one. I appreciate any help on this...

i don't have one, but i test drove an expy with one. from what i saw it seems that if you just reset at the begining of your trip and then leave it alone through the whole trip you'll end up with your average.
basically, the one i test drove stabilized over time after reseting it, which i assumed meant the number it's giving you is the average mpg since you last reset it.

Thanks a lot, I reset then drove some 30 miles from home and when I was ready to leave I started up and my mpg was on display.
You were right...Oh yea, I'm getting 12.5 mi. per gal. I have a bad coil pack and will replace it Monday ( might know it's #4 ) I should show a little better after that.
