my truck dosnt run goo back fire idles like crap and stall changed the cat and muffler because it blew up. A nasty suffler egg smell comes from the carb i wounder what it could be? anybody

 

That rotten egg smell is usually a plugged up catylic converter, which would make your vehicle run like crap and not idle too well, but you said you already changed the converter. Did you change it with a new one? Another thing the smell could be is antifreeze could be getting inside the cabin. I hope some of this was some help.

 

The smell is coming from the catalytic convertor, but it's not the convertor's fault. It will smell when the engine is burning too rich. This would explain the backfiring too, if raw fuel is getting into the exhaust system. You have something wrong with the engine. A tune-up, and maybe a carb rebuild would be a good start.

 

 

That would explain the roasted Cat Converter too. They're not designed to process raw fuel

 

I found out what the problem was it was just a vacum leak, but thanks for all the tips
