Power Window install

What would be the best way to install power windows on my 96 F350 XL Dually? What's involved? Other than the obvious, motors, panels switches, and harness. What am I looking for in the donor vehicles?

You will need either to change inner door panels (XLT) or install your own rocker switches. Any electric regulator from 80 to 96 should work. Your trucks wiring harness should have wires in the harness for the motors. Motors run in a full range of prices from $25.00 (Chineese) on Ebay to maybe $300.00 at a dealer.

Should help a little for your decesion making.

Older one done

I have done this on my 85 350 crew. It's not that hard. I covered my door panels with cloth, they look much better now and mounted custom switches in the wood console I built into the truck. I would caution you about the cheap motors, they are worth what you pay (not much) spend the money and get good American aftermarket.

Good Luck
