I am trying to get issues addressed on my 92 F150 recent purchase. I am testing and replacing parts that aren't working.
All functions now work on the tail lights except hazzards. They flash on the front but not on the rear. Any suggestions on where to start looking?
I need to replace a marker bulb on the drivers side, beside of the head light. I removed the two screws on top but something in the lower corner is holding the piece in place. I can't see what it is and Chilton is NO help.
The rear brake/turn function uses the same bulbs and wiring as the hazards. So the problem is most likely the multi-function switch(turnsignal switch), since this has the turnsignal as well as the hazard function built-in to it.
Here's a diagram that may help troubleshoot the hazards. See how everything feeds the multi-function switch, and how all the lights are connected to it?
I guess it might be expected of a truck with nearly a quarter million miles on it, only about 10,000 short. The sheetmetal held up better in this case than other parts.
