'92 explorer 4x4 2 questions
We finally figured out why my 4x4 wasn't engaging...the radio. The former owner replaced the stock radio, and for some reason, that killed the 4x4. Why would that be? Now to the second question. The dash lights won't come on when the 4x4 high/low is engaged. We just replaced all of the bulbs, so thats not the problem. Also, after we replaced the bulbs the light on the push button switch next to the 4x4 is constantly on without 4x4 being engaged. Can anyone tell me why or has anyone had this problem and how it was fixed. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like whoever installed the radio messed with the wiring to the switches. This might be a case where you just need to bite the bullet, get a wiring diagram for the 4wd switches, and make sure it's wired up properly.
