2002 4.0 dul exhaust?!?!?! PLEASE HELP ME !
Hello, i have 2002 Ranger of road with the 4.0 engine (love the truc!), i want some real good sound coming out of the tail pipes so i need you guys to help me out on this. Many people tell me i should just put Dual exhaust with no mufflers, some say glass packs. But i want your opinions of what wold be the best sounding and the easiest/cheapest ideas. please
help me out so i can show my neighbor with the Dodge R/T whats up.
If you want you can E-mail me at Kovacs21(No Email Addresses In Posts!), your opinionsare very much wanted.
Thank You,
Ryan

Hmm...I'd say get some headers, free flow cat, and a free flow muffler with dual pipes like a Gibson or something. But don't forget if you lose the muffler all together, you're looking at losing power. You gotta have some kind of resistance there and if you don't then it actually works against you and you start losing your HP, torque, and gas mileage. And don't forget about the not always so great CARB. Hope this helps some.

I'm running dual outlet flowmaster two chamber 40 series with
stock cats and stock manifolds with a 2.9L v-6, its got a nice low rumble at idle and accleration. I've got buddy with glasspacks on a s-10 with 2.8FI. I think it sounds like crap, sounds like the whole trucks vibrating and shaking and way to loud for me.
I've heard the three chamber flowmaster has an even lower tone to it.\
Hope this helps MudKat66
