oil dummy pressure gauge question
ok heres my question i have a 98 2.5L ranger and want to modify my guage to be a true oil guage instead of the dummy gauge. does anyone know how to change the oil dummy gauge to a real gauge? i have posted on other forums and nobody seems to know it can be done on the diesels. here is the link to the article on it
www.ford-diesel.com/contents/getitems.php3?Real%20Oil%20Pressure %20Gauge%202

It's an easy conversion, remove the instrument cluster and follow the instruction at FD, then you need to replace the sendor, thats the only question, I'm not sure if the one they use will fit/work on a ranger. If you need details on cluster removal or sensor location let me know. One of the days I will get around to this on my 3.0.
