I was probably one of the first people that started adding teflon to the yoke of my 97f150. My truck started this right after I bought it new in 97.
It only took me 5 years to figure it out and about 5 yokes replaced. I now lube it once every six months.....yours will be the same way if it's the same design. I now have gone for a couple of years without any issues.
So is this the driveshaft 'pushing' in some when ya accelerate and gripping the splines then suddenly giving maybe? Guess older weaker rear components letting the rear move more would make this even more prominent. I think I'll be giving this a try. Did you get this at the Ford dealer? And if ya did got a part number?
Anytime You Accelerate Or Brake It Changes The Angle Of The Driveshaft Causing The Shudder And Then The Clunk As It Loads Up.i Did Get The Grease At The Ford Dealer.the Part # Is D2az-19590-a.
