connecting rod question

I just currently rebuilt a 360 into a 390, and bought some connecting rods from a shop. The guy said that they are a police interceptor part, i looked it up and it was correct. I was just wondering what the benifits if any were there to having a connecting rod like this.

What are the casting numbers? A few things are the larger rod bolts used and beefier castings used on some but the casting numbers will tell the story. They are all pretty close in weight except for the early C1-C 390 rods which are around 50 grams less each. C7-B and C3-C are some of the common HP rods that are identical other than the number. G.

Yup you have good ones. The PI's were stronger rods then the regualar FE rods.
